We all have friends who wish they had done it all
a little differently after their project was finished...
Or maybe they are unhappy with the overall outcome
because one simple (little) detail was overlooked
that cannot be corrected now.
For the most part, you will have to live with the
outcome of your project, so whether you're building
a new vacation home or remodeling your current home,
don't rush through the design and planning
phase. Take time and do it right!
Oversights can be as simple as not wiring for sufficient
speaker, or alarm, or phone jacks, or not having
them where you wanted them, or maybe moving a wall
either way to optimize the space in one room or
another. They can also be major.
Did you overlook putting in underground utilities
so you can run lights or sound our to your yard
before you poured your concrete? Did you forget
to run electrical in the walls and ceiling for that
recess lighting you wanted? Did you take advantage
ceiling heights, or window and door placements when
designing your plans so your furniture fits the
way you visioned and you see the views you dreamed
about?
100's of oversights can happen in the layout or
pre-design of your project. That means there are
100's potential problems you may have to live with
when the project is done - Some of these simple
oversights will cost many thousands and more to
fix after the fact. Most of them could have been
entirely averted with the right contractor on the
job!
Let Bilt Construction Co.'s trained
professionals guide you through it all.
